1. Internship at The 2nd People’s Hospital of Shenzhen

   
   The laboratory of the 2nd People’s Hospital of Shenzhen is equipped with instruments worth of ¥30 million, in the areas of cell culture, immunology laboratory, molecular biology and pharmacology. Available equipment includes: flow cytometry, confocal microscopy , live-cell workstations ultracentrifuge, quantitative PCR instrument, frozen section machine, gel imaging analysis system, pathological image analysis system, chemiluminescence and fluorescence scanner , chemiluminescence and fluorescence detector, and other large equipment , and a variety of PCR , microscopes , centrifuges, electrophoresis apparatus , refrigerators, cell culture and bacterial culture and other commonly used cell and molecular biology equipment.

   The 2nd People’s Hospital of Shenzhen will provide free accommodation in Shenzhen and meals at the hospital staff canteen (up to ¥800 per month, enough for food at the hospital canteen) for the interns.

2. Internship at Cancer Biotherapy Institute of Jiangsu Province(CBIJP), Xuzhou Medical University

   
   Introduction of CBIJP

   The mission of CBIJP is the promotion of the understanding of cancer and rapidly translate research discoveries into improved prevention strategies and diagnostics, and safer, more effective therapies.

   Its predecessor was Cancer Institute of Xuzhou Medical University that  established in 2008 by Xzuzhou Medical University. It was approved and became the key lab of Cancer Biotherapy in Jiangsu province by the government of Jiangsu province in 2011. CBIJP provide routinely adaptive immunological cell therapy for cancer patients and have been set up 6 experimental platforms, including the general molecular biology, histology and pathology, imaging, animal study center, clinical tissue banks, and cells & gene therapeutical engineering. The area of the institute is over 4200m² and equipped with instruments worth of ¥30 million.    Introduction of Xu Zhou Medical University

   Xuzhou Medical University is the center of medical education, medical service and medical research in the north of Jiangsu Province as well as Huaihai Economic Zone which consists of the combined parts of Jiangsu, Shandong, Henan and Anhwei. The university has four campuses, covering an area of over 80 hectares. It consists of 19 departments and 14 affiliated hospitals, and has a student body of more than 11,000, including students from Hong Kong, Taiwan and the overseas. The university has now formed a comprehensive and multi-level educational system that covers a full range of programs from bachelor’s to master’s, from doctoral to post-doctoral study, from full-time to continuing education, not only for students from China mainland, but also for students from abroad and from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan as well. In recent years, the university has extensively carried out exchange activities and has actively developed multi-model relationships and cooperation with other colleges and universities at home and abroad. It has established cooperation and academic exchange with medical colleges and universities in the US, UK, Australia, Singapore, Taiwan and Hong Kong. In 2013, the university was authorized by the Ministry of Education to recruit students from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. It became the first medical university in Huaihai Economic Zone to recruit undergraduates from those areas.

   Xuzhou Medical University is located at Xuzhou city, which is a famous historical and cultural city and the motherland of Liu Bang, the first emperor of the Han Dynasty. Xuzhou city is also a transportation hub in northwestern Jiangsu, as it has expressways and railway links connecting directly to the provinces of Henan and Shandong, the neighboring port city of Lianyungang, as well as the economic hub Shanghai.
   
   CBIJP will provide free accommodation in Xuzhou and meals at the University canteen (up to ¥600 per month, enough for food at the University canteen) for the interns.
