Date: Monday, 26-March-2018
Time: 11:00 a.m.
Venue: Seminar Room 1, G/F, Laboratory Block,
Faculty of Medicine Building,

Summary:
Endogenous electric signals exist in both physiological and pathological conditions. We have demonstrated previously that, manipulating physiological electric signals could have profound implication in:

  1. the regulation of cell migration, division and differentiation during wound repair and tissue regeneration; and
  2. the T cells based immunisation via dendritic cells (DCs) activation.

This lecture shall report the role of physiological electric stimulation in the control of directed migration, division, and lineage specific differentiation of stem cells in spinal cord injury repair, as well as the electric signals promoted adjuvant effect in DCs activated T cell response during immunisation.
