  • Dysregulation of cell signaling in cancer
  • Bioinformatics

Dr Wong is currently a Research Assistant Professor in the School of Biomedical Sciences at the University of Hong Kong (HKU). He completed his BSc (Hons) in Food and Human Nutrition from Newcastle University and PhD in Biological Sciences from the University of Cambridge. He then undertook postdoctoral training in the Faculty of Medicine, HKU under the supervision of Dr Stephanie Ma in the field of liver cancer.

Our research focuses on understanding the contribution of metabolism to cancer initiation and development. We employ multi-omics platform, organoid and mouse model to explore the mechanism of metabolic reprogramming in cancer. Using these knowledge, we aim to develop novel cancer treatment options targeting the metabolic pathways.
