Talk Title: Cryo-EM for Everyone! - A Conceptual Overview of the Cryo-EM Core Facility at the Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry 
Speaker: Dr. Daniel Bollschweiler, Department of Molecular Structural Biology, Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry
Biography

Dr. Daniel Bollschweiler has obtained his Diploma in Chemistry/X-ray Crystallography at the University of Freiburg. His PhD focused on Cryo-EM at the Baumeister group, MPIB. He was a Postdoc at Pellegrini group, University of Cambridge. Since 2018, he has been the head of the Cryo-EM Core Facility MPIB, focusing strongly on streamlining routine workflows to enable quick and easy access to this method.

Speaker: Dr. Camila Hernandez Frederick, Head of the Career Development Service, Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry
Biography

Dr. Camila Hernández Frederick is a biologist with a PhD in biochemistry from the University of Freiburg, Germany. Since 2020, she is the Head of the Career Development Service at the Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry. There, she is responsible for facilitating career development opportunities, monitoring doctoral supervision and coordinating PhD and Postdoc related activities. Furthermore, she provides support to both groups in a wide range of matters like conflict management, administrative tasks, onboarding, and more.
