On October 29, 2022, our School was delighted to take part in the HKU Information Day for Undergraduate Admissions, welcoming over thousand prospective students and visitors eager to explore our innovative programmes and vibrant academic community.

The highlight of the day was the Admissions Talk on our Bachelor of Biomedical Sciences programme, which garnered significant attention. Attendees learned about the programme’s cutting-edge curriculum, specialised Major options, and diverse career pathways. Interactive activities included engaging workshops featuring virtual reality (VR) learning modules, demonstrations with the Anatomage Virtual Dissecting Table, and hands-on experiences with Electromyogram (EMG) and Electrocardiogram (ECG) devices. Visitors also participated in bioinformatics sessions focused on genome sequencing and digital health innovations, as well as toured our state-of-the-art laboratories showcasing biochemistry experiments.

A special feature was the Human Specimens Exhibition at the Anatomy and Dissection Laboratory, providing a rare and insightful view into anatomical studies. Prospective students had meaningful opportunities to interact with faculty members and current students through consultation booths, gaining insights into academic life and research opportunities at SBMS.
