HKU Information Day 2025
On 25 October, the School warmly welcomed more than 2,700 prospective students and visitors to the HKU Information Day 2025. Throughout the day, visitors immersed themselves in admissions talks, student sharing, interactive workshops and hands-on laboratory demonstrations, providing a vibrant opportunity to explore the School's diverse and innovative undergraduate programme.
During the admission consultation sessions, aspiring students connected with our academic staff and received personalised advice on programme curriculum and admissions process. Another highlight was the VR demonstration for anatomy learning at the Technology-Enriched Learning Mezzanine (Techmezz), where participants experienced innovative learning technologies.
Visitors also engaged with interactive Electromyogram (EMG) and Electrocardiogram (ECG) demonstrations, learned about bioinformatics and health technology applications, explored the anatomy and dissection laboratory, and joined a biochemistry lab tour. These activities emphasised how immersive and diversified tools enrich teaching and learning at our School, giving visitors deeper insight into studying biomedical sciences at HKU.
By the end of the day, visitors experienced a comprehensive introduction to the School’s dynamic learning environment and the latest innovations in biomedical sciences, while exploring the cutting-edge facilities across the HKUMed campus. We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to this engaging event and for their efforts in inspiring the next generation of students. We look forward to welcoming a new cohort of talented and passionate students to the SBMS family.
