An Endowed Professorship is a prestigious award supporting leading academics within the University. These positions are often named in honour of donors, with a unique Ming-style chair presented as a token of appreciation. The Professors carry their full titles, maintain contact with donors, and are recognised at official ceremonies. Currently, there are eight endowed SBMS Professors: Raymond C C Chang, Zhongjun Zhou, Dong-Yan Jin, Julian A Tanner, Michael S Y Huen, Stephanie K Y Ma, Michael A Häusser, and Pengtao Liu.
Internships
The School of Biomedical Sciences offers internships in biomedical research, healthcare, and industry. Past opportunities include management trainee programmes, summer placements, and roles in bioinformatics, data analysis, and scientific research. These experiences provide valuable industry exposure, skill development, and professional growth for students and recent graduates.
