Research Description

As part of the unique group of scientists with a combination of expertise in both quantitative thinking and biological understanding, my research - bridging cancer genomics, evolutionary biology and mathematics with single-cell experiments - has advanced understanding in the somatic evolution of normal and precancerous human tissues. Combining expertise with the SMA lab, we now focus on developing a data-tested quantitative biological framework for the evolution of hepatocellular carcinoma to reveal cellular plasticity and hierarchy in the liver.
