Delineating the information stored within genomes and comprehending its spatial and temporal expression emerges as the primary challenge in the post-genomic era. Our group utilizes a combination of experimental and computational approaches to explore decision-making processes within individual cells, with a focus on stem cell biology and cancer evolution. We are constructing single-cell lineage tracers and pioneering novel omic techniques to capture crucial aspects of human development and cancer progression in a massively parallel manner. Through these initiatives, we aim to understand how cells utilize gene networks to make decisions in hematopoiesis and to unveil evolutionary dynamics during cancer metastasis and therapy.
