Dr Tan is a lecturer in physiology at the School of Biomedical Sciences, University of Hong Kong. He completed his PhD at the National University of Singapore. Prior to joining HKUMed, he was a lecturer at Newcastle University Medicine Malaysia between 2018–2021 and then at the Chinese University of Hong Kong-Shenzhen between 2021–2024.
