Croucher Advanced Study Institutes - Technology in development and disease
School of Biomedical Sciences cordially invites you to join the following event:
Advanced Study Institutes (ASI) Programme by Croucher Foundation, titled "Emerging and Enabling Technologies for Understanding Development and Disease," is scheduled for 12-15 November, 2024, at the University of Hong Kong.
The programme will feature Open Lectures in the mornings that are open to all researchers, providing a valuable opportunity to engage with distinguished international speakers and explore the latest advancements in the field.
In addition to the Open Lectures, there will be closed sessions in the afternoons, including Workshops and Selected Talks by Registrants (Part 1-3) specifically for established scientists, post-doctoral fellows and final-year PhD students with appropriate scientific background who wish to learn of recent developments. Participation in these closed sessions will require registration, and due to limited capacity, only a maximum of 35 registrants will be accepted. Selected registrants will be notified via email for submission of abstract (100-150 words in word format).
The workshop will cover the following key topics:
- Enabling technologies for single cell analysis: genes and chromosomes in action
- Reconstructing development at single cell resolution
- Integrating and interpreting multiomics data
- Advances and applications in organoid technologies
- Multi-scale imaging of living cells and organisms
