Biography
.

Dr. Ming Ni, PhD in Peking University, Post-doc in Paris Descartes University, adjunct assistance professor of Chinese University of Hong Kong. Currently he is senior vice president of MGI and CEO of MGI-Qingdao, responsible for developing high throughput DNA sequencing technologies, which leads to a series of products such as DNBSEQ E, DNBelab D and DNBSEQ T10x4RS etc., and member of National Technical Committee 526 on Laboratory Instruments and Equipment Standardization Administration of China (SAC/TC526).

Dr. Ni joined BGI Group in 2012, had been leading or participating in many national funded projects. He has authored or co-authored more than 10 scientific papers published in top peer-reviewed journals listed in Science Citation Index (SCI) including Plos Genetics, CELL, and Nature Machine Intelligence, and has applied more than 20 patents with 17 being granted.

Abstract

MGI DNBelab C single cell platform offers high-throughput, cost-effective sc 3'RNA, scATAC, sc5'RNA & V(D)J analysis solutions by leveraging our droplet generation system, automated library preparation system, and DNBSEQ sequencing system. With the mission of "To develop and promote advanced life science tools for future healthcare", MGI has been developing tools on Storage, Read, Write. MGI developed series of sequencer and lab automation systems with different throughput, providing solutions from small scale rapid clinical applications, to industrial scale sequencing projects such as national genome projects. MGI's 3rd main segment covers BIT products such as LIMS, Ztron data storage and analysis server, MGIclab sample storage system, and ultrasound platform.  Besides, STOmics proprietary Stereo-seq offers researchers a novel tool to explore spatial biology with unprecedented field-of-view, and subcellular resolution, enabling simultaneous transcriptome study and analysis at tissue-, cellular-, subcellular- and molecular level from fresh frozen tissue and FFPE tissue.
