Talk Title: CAR-NK cells: new opportunities and challenges for cancer immunotherapy

Biography
Professor Xie is a professor and oncologist in the Department of Radiation Oncology, Nanfang Hospital, Southern Medical University and a post-doctoral fellow at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His research interests focus on the development of novel CAR-T/NK cell therapy for cancer immunotherapy and the mechanism of immunotherapy resistance in cancer. He has published 20 research articles in journals such as Nature Biomedical Engineering, PANS, Journal for Immunotherapy of Cancer. His research has led to 7 China, US or International Patents, and has taken charge of three projects of National Natural Science Foundation of China and two projects of Natural Science Foundation of Guangdong Province.
