Dr Manio had a 15 years of academic teaching and research experience, 5 years as a Resident Tutor at Shun Hing College and New College at The University of Hong Kong, and with four degrees with scholarship, honors and outstanding student in Leadership - BS Biology (AUF 98), Doctor of Medicine (AUF 03), Master in Health Professions Education (UST 08 CUM LAUDE), PhD in Biochemistry (UP Manila 10 PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLAR) (transferred to HKU) and PhD in Vascular Pharmacology (HKU 14 POSTGRADUATE SCHOLAR).

In the academic world, he became the Assistant Professor in Medicine/Nursing at Angeles University and Holy Angel University, Philippines. The most recent was a lecturer at the Hong Kong Metropolitan University.

He guested and anchored different programs in radio like RTHK & DBC and in TVB Pearl Hong Kong. He tirelessly shares his wisdom and passion in writing when he became the contributory writer, with his monthly Health Column that tackles different health problems affecting the OFWs in Hong Kong. He was able to reach out with people and promote the importance of health in his column.

Dr. Manio created a service learning platform for the university students for domestic workers empowerment of women and the family through Health and Wellness, Law and Gender Equality, Nature and Environmental Sustainability, Culture and the Arts. His program for the community in Hong Kong has reached 20000 members and 150 students from 27 countries very unique and first of its kind.

Furthermore, he mentored the students at the University for the Leadership Development Goals at HKU Common Purpose and one of the lay leaders of the Ethnic Minority in promoting Mental Well-being.
