Biography
Dr. Masayo Kotaka is the Associate Programme Director of the MBioInno programme and a Principal Lecturer at SBMS, HKUMed. She holds a PhD in Biochemistry from CUHK, with postdoctoral experience at Oxford and Nanyang Technological University. She also possesses biotechnology industry experience as the former Head of R&D of a biotech start-up in Hong Kong.
Abstract
This seminar will explore key aspects of professional conduct, including workplace etiquette, interpersonal skills, ethical standards, and adaptability in industry settings. It aims to equip MBioInno students with the foundational competencies necessary for effective integration into biomedical industrial environments and to prepare students for internship placements, industry rotations and future career development.

- This workshop is exclusive to MBioInno students.
- Upon completion, 2 points will be counted towards SBMS7000 Innovator Immersion Programme (List A).
- Mandatory attendance for students undertaking Start-up Immersion Rotations or SBMS8002 Industry Internship.
