Community Engagement: The book "Dissecting the Meaning of Life: An Anthology of Essays on Body Donation" (《大體大得――遺體捐贈感恩文集》) received the “Publishing Award”

The book "Dissecting the Meaning of Life: An Anthology of Essays on Body Donation" (《大體大得――遺體捐贈感恩文集》) has just received the “Publishing Award” in the category of "Life and Science” in the Hong Kong Publishing Biennial Awards 2017. It is a co-production of School of Biomedical Sciences and Medical Ethics and Humanities Unit, which was also supported by HKU Knowledge Exchange Fund, Bao Institute of Medical and Health Sciences Education, and HKU Body Donation Programme.

The Award Presentation Ceremony was officiated by The Hon Mrs Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor, Chief Executive of Hong Kong, on July 20, 2017 in Hong Kong Book Fair 2017.  Mr Edward Yau Tang-wah, Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, presented the Publishing Award to Dr LK Chan, the lead editor of the book and the co-ordinator of HKU Body Donation Programme.
