Professor Rio Ryohichi Sugimura Awarded NSFC/RGC Joint Research Scheme Grant
We are pleased to announce that Professor Rio Ryohichi Sugimura, from the School of Biomedical Sciences, has been awarded funding under the National Natural Science Foundation for China and the Research Grants Council (NSFC/RGC) 2025/26 Exercise. This prestigious grant is part of a university-wide achievement, with sixteen HKU research projects collectively securing over HK$26.5 million in funding—placing HKU first among UGC-funded universities in both number of funded projects and total funding received.
